Wetlands & Streams
Identifying and delineating wetlands and streams is a core service offered by nuInventa. Our wetland scientists, some with over 30 years of experience, are proficient in using the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Wetland Delineation Manual and the “Regional Supplements” to identify wetland boundaries. We also follow procedures that have been adopted by some states, such as Florida, to delineate wetlands.

Threatened & Endangered Species
The Threatened and Endangered Species Act of 1973 places federal protection over plants, fish, amphibians, reptiles, mammals, and other wildlife. Any project that might require a “federal action” (i.e. federal funding, permit issuance by a federal agency, etc.) can trigger the need for what’s called “Section 7 Consultation”. nuInventa routinely conducts various activities from the desktop and the field to evaluate the potential affects a project could have on listed threatened and endangered (T&E) species. Working cooperatively with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, we devise procedures to construct and operate development projects in ways that can minimize and avoid incidental “takings” of T&E species. It is also important to consider that fact that states have their own protections for T&E species, which are applicable to actions taken by states.

Stormwater
Stormwater leaving active construction sites, developed areas, public spaces, and roadways, just to name a few, must meet certain federal and state water quality standards. It begins with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program that addresses and regulates the affects pollutants can pose on federal and state waters. Whether you are applying for an NPDES permit, have a compliance issue, or are seeking a consultant to manage your stormwater inspection program, we’ve got the skills to get you through the storm.

Geographic Information Systems
Geographic Information System (GIS) software is a powerful technology that nuInventa uses on a daily basis to deliver our common, everyday solutions. GIS can be uses by many other industries to discover, query, and evaluate spatial data. From crime statistics to shopping patterns, the use for GIS seems almost endless. Are you trying to manage features in our built environment, consider our asset inventory solutions. We couple powerful geographic positioning system (GPS) technology to map and collect information about specific features to use in GIS and public Web-based delivery modalities
